Natasha Pinto
Dancer
Hailing from Colombian and Peruvian heritage, Natasha is a professional dancer with over 20 years experience in genres including Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Ballroom, Latin and Salsa. As a Samba dancer, she is a dynamic performing artist and passista in Rio Carnaval with the renowned Samba schools Academicos do Salgueiro and Unidos de Bangu.
During her childhood, Natasha competed in various ballroom and latin competitions, and participated at the Australian Dance Festival. Then in 2009, Natasha was introduced to the world of hip-hop and trained with Kookies and Kream (KNK) dance crew. KNK competed and placed 1st at hip-hop events including Looze Control (2009), Australian Hip Hop Championships (2011) and performed as an open act at the Sydney Kings Games. In 2012, the crew auditioned for Australia’s Got Talent and placed 6th in the Grand Finals.
Natasha fell in love with urban dance styles and was introduced to dancehall when she attended her first class with Tiana Canterbury in 2014. Over the next 3 years Natasha trained with Tiana and performed across NSW at corporate events and functions with the team Afrodisiaq. Natasha had the incredible opportunity to be part of music videos for Australian artists including The Veronicas and Guy Sebastian, advertisements for Hyundai and opening acts for International sensation, Jay Sean.
In 2017 to 2019, Natasha was a back-up dancer for African-born, Australian-raised singer Lisa Viola where she performed across Sydney at various events.
Outside of Natasha’s dance experience, she works in the luxury industry as an After-Sales Coordinator and she has a degree in Social Work and Literature.
